Off to Grandma's House

Over the river and through the woods,
To grandmother's house we go;
The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh,
Through the white and drifted snow, O!

Over the river and through the woods,
Oh how the wind does blow!
It stings the toes, and bites the nose,
As over the ground we go.

Over the river and through the woods,
To have a first-rate play;
Oh hear the bells ring, "Ting-a-ling-ling!"
Hurrah for Christmas Cookie Baking Day, Hey!

Over the river and through the woods,
Trot fast my dapple gray!
Spring over the ground, like a hunting hound!
For this is Christmas Cookie Baking Day, Hey!

Over the river and through the woods,
And straight through the barnyard gate,
We seem to go extremely slow.
It is so hard to wait!

Over the river and through the woods,
Now grandmother's cap I spy!
Hurrah for the fun! Is the cookie dough done?
Hurrah for the Christmas cookies!

It was fun. :) We accomplished a little bit more after you left/I returned from my date. :) It was a bit helpful to clean everything up and then start with ONE cookie, finish that, then move to the next one. lol..... Ah, the joy and the chaos of Christmas baking.... What is so sad is that I still have my two that I brought the stuff for and I should probably do another batch of sugar cookies.... and the peanut butter blossoms that mom sent with me are pretty much gone, so those won't be ending up on any trays of any sort, so I should probably do a batch of those. I know what I am doing today... and tomorrow... and maybe the next day. ;)

And yes, we should totally give the dog ipecac.... You know what I realized after you left/I returned?? There were RAISINS in those cookies!!! And if he ate 20 cookies, he ate a LOT of raisins..... OOPS. He seemed ok when we left... Planning on calling the 'rents to see how he is.... I just emailed dad that thing about dogs and raisins a couple weeks ago, too. Good job, us! :)
